What causes Acne?
An excess of the hormone androgen in the skin leads to excessive sebum
(oil) production, that clogs pores and serves as food to acne bacteria
(Propionibacterium). These bacteria produce substances that cause redness
and irritation and make enzymes, which also dissolve the sebum into irritating
substances making the inflammation worse.

Application:

Q:How long will this last?
A:In general it depends how severe the acne is, however for mild acne a pot of normalizing cream should last a number of months, and for light acne may even last upto a year according to some of our customers!
Q:I'm taking medication for my acne is it ok to use this as well?
A:Yes, you may find that this works better than your oral perscription medication as it is tackling the cause of the problem at the source (the skin), rather than you medicine that effects your whole body, and may not be completley solving the problem. Plus theres no side effects to this unlike most medicines.
Q:Can I use other cleansers / skin products with this?
A:Yes, but remember using the wrong products can make the condition worse. Soap cleansers dry the skin causing excess oil production which will clog pores. Moistursers and makeup can also block pores, look for products that are non-comedonic or non-acneogenic.
